2021 CAAWT Conference

2021 Conference Cover Photo

In our 2nd Annual CAAWT conference, we had Dr. Jesús Rosales-Ruiz and Dr. T. V. Joe Layng as our keynote speakers, where they shared a couple of thought-provoking and fun presentations on improving animal welfare and training.

This was an international 5-day virtual conference. We did one presentation per day, and we had four presentations at the conference. On the last day, all the speakers joined for a panel discussion and extended Q&A. The conference was held from July 14th to 18th in 2021.

Constructional Approach to Animal Welfare and Training is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
All the profits from the conferences funded free programs that CAAWT offers for
individuals and facilities that oversees the care of animals.

Conference Program

We started each day with an opening. At the end of the opening, the host sent you a link to the presentation video, where we all watched it separately. The host also announced time to start Q&A, so please come back to the zoom meeting on the announced time.

From Day 1 (July 14) to Day 4 (July 17), the presentation video was about 1 to 1.5 hours long. Any extra time was added to Q&A.

On Day 5 (July 18), all the speakers joined and did a panel discussion and an extended Q&A. After four days of presentations, we wanted to have this opportunity to have a deep dialogue between the speakers and the attendees.
